Skin Cancer Care
Full Skin Checks
A full skin check is a systematic examination of the skin to look for suspicious or changing lesions, including melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers.
Dr Ben provides comprehensive skin checks with dermoscopic assessment where clinically appropriate.

What Is Checked?
A full skin examination may include areas such as:
- Face and scalp
- Ears and neck
- Arms and hands
- Chest and abdomen
- Back
- Legs and feet
Additional areas may be examined when clinically indicated or when you have a specific concern.
Who Should Consider a Skin Check?
A skin check may be particularly useful if you have:
- Significant lifetime sun exposure
- Fair skin that burns easily
- Numerous or unusual moles
- A personal history of skin cancer
- A family history of melanoma
- Previous significant sunburns
- A new or changing lesion
What Happens After the Examination?
Most skin lesions are benign.
If a lesion appears unusual, options may include:
- Monitoring
- Photography
- Biopsy
- Excision
- Specialist referral
The recommended next step depends on the clinical findings. A single spot of concern can also be booked as a focused mole or lesion assessment.

Assessment in person is the only way to work out what is causing a skin concern and what can reasonably be done about it. Fees are explained before anything is arranged.
